conventions of a genre (Shrooms).

Camera shots/angles:
The opening of the film shows a low angled shot mid showing a young "teenage" girl running through the forest at night, it then cuts to show a buliding and back to her running. This gives the audience a cold shiver as they start to feel cold and feel invoved in the film.It also shows a close up of a man in a "Hay Bag" this shows that there is something creepy going on and how this would intercount with the film, the first proper opening scence after all the credits have rolled, they are on a flight and the first thing you see is the seat belt scene, this could suggest that to the audience aswell they should sit back and fasten as this film could be a jumpy one.

Editing:
The opening of this film as a lot of cross cuttings, to show the whole package in which it is set and how when and were its set, so the audience get a real feel in how the character is feeling, this is called naturlisation, making the audience think that what they are watching is all real when infact fake, this is also done by match on action in which is used when she looks down at her photo gallery book to they cutting to a picture of her and her boyfriend, the 180 degree is used when they are talking baout why she is coming over to see her boyfriend and that they are talking about taking shrooms, this reniforces the name of the title.

Sound:
there is a lot of non-diagetic sound in the openining of the film to suggest frightened and scared atmosphere. also there is a voice over when she is running there is heavy breathing to suggest she has been running for a long period of time.

Mise-en-scene:
it is set in a forest and a aeroplane. it shows that there is many different sets of thefilm within a short amount of time to suggest that this film is queit a in depth one, also when they are on the plane is also could suggest a journey you are taking with them to were they are going, by doing this it is drawing in the audience and wanting them to watch more.

in conclusion
very good opening showed a lot of different ideas in which i have not come across before with camera angles and sound throughout the first opening of the film
