In todays lesson we were split into groups of three and had to film a short movie on “Continuity Editing”. In the film we had to show someone walking through the door, showing the back of them then entering the door from then the front, this meant using the 180 rule and keeping the angle of the camera the same. We then had to film someone sitting down and talking another person and show across the shoulder shots and making sure we use dialogue in the scenes.
-Firstly we done a story board to show how we was going to set the camera up and sort out the dialogue
-We went to the place were we were filming and sorted out the camera angles before we started filming to see how It would work out
- When filming we were constantly looking for ways to improver our work, and tried new angled shots and compared them after
When we had finished filming we went back to the classroom and started to edit what we had filmed, it was to edit at first as we did a long sequence shot and had to be cut to make it flow, we used continuity editing in the film were Charlotte runs to the door and gets her keys out to open the door as she is very late home from a night out and her mum is waiting for her.
I found this task interactive and fun, we all put ideas in and fortunately they all worked together, also we used match on action and shot reverse shot in our film as this would make it look more professional.
